Chipotle Lawsuit settled for $60K in overtime wages and $600k in Legal Fees

The lawsuit against a Chipotle operation up in Minnesota settled for $60,000 in unpaid overtime. The court awarded the workers $600,000 in legal fees. It is not unusual for the legal fees to dwarf the recoveries when dealing with restaurant workers. Chipoltle was able to successfully argue that if there was a violation of the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA) the workers were only able to show that the violation was limited to one location.
